You are desired to receive such prisoners
of War into your County as are sent
to your Care by Major ^Jos. Holmes. You are
to furnish the necessary guards from your
Militia & appoint a Commissary to
supply such guards with provisions who
is to expect his pay from Congress, &
no doubt they will make him the pro-
per allowance.

The Treatment of the pri-
soners will be directed by Major Holmes
whose Regulations will be made known
to you on the subject.
