Rev. David Humphreys letter to Jacob Henderson, 26 March 1731

I have laid before the Society your letter dated Maryland 27^th october
1730 In which you acquaint them with your having found out
some Lands belonging to the late General Nicholson. The
Society return you their thanks for your care and pains in
making search after those Lands. The society have also sent
you over with this conveyance a Power of Attorney from M^r
Eyre Eyre the General's' sole Executor to sell and dispose
of the said Lands for the Use of the Society as bequeathed
by General Nicholson. However, you will take care to observe
this. Whatever money you receive for the said Lands you
do remitt to the Society only.
