Letter written by Eleanor M. Hiestand-Moore, Executive Secretary of the Society for the Preservation of the Old Blair Homestead, to Miss Moore concerning the society’s attempts to raise $15,000 to purchase the former home of Williamsburg resident John Blair. The society is concerned that the home’s location makes it ideally suited for business purposes and that it may be bought and destroyed. Hiestand-Moore notes that the house will become the property of the College of William and Mary if purchased by the society.
