Hill petitions the Virginia Court to return to him his runaway apprentice, Hugh O’Hara. O’Hara has joined the U.S. Army and is serving under Captain Archibald Randolph and Col. James P. Preston. A disagreement among the judges hearing the case makes a verdict impossible.
