WILLIAMSBURG, February 20, 1772.
THE Justitia, Gillies, with Transports (among them John Eyre, Esquire) is arrived in Rappahannock, and the Watt, Boushey, from Liverpool, in James River.
The Virginia, Robertson, in the Interest of John Norton, Esquire, and Son, is arrived safe in the Downs.
It is feared that the Planter, Cawsey, from James River bound to Bristol, is lost; as there were no Accounts of her the Middle of December last in England, and she left the Capes about the 17th of September.

The Ship Planter, captained by John Cawsey and belonging to Messrs. Farel & Jones of Bristol was the ship carrying the possessions of the late Lord Botetourt back to England. These possessions, carefully inventoried by his butler Mr. William Marshman, were lost at sea. Marshman's inventory was the basis for furnishings shown in the Governors Palace depicting the time it was the residence of Governor Botetourt.
